Overheard @ The Nelson's, v.19
It's finally nice out here and we've spent much of the past two days outside. The weather is warmer, the snow is melting, and we're all getting muddy. Plus there's the added bonus that at the end of the day, everyone crashes into a deep sleep without any of the normal fussing about. But it's also given us (and by that I mean the kids) a boost of crazy Springtime energy.
We're inside, just now, for a quick lunch and to wash up a bit. As I was cleaning up the kitchen, the kids were on their own. I could hear them in the other room.
Sophie: Martin, squeeze my neck.
Martin: No, I'll get in trouble.
Sophie: Come on. Squeeze my neck.
Martin. NO.
Sophie: Schicken.
We better go do something productive and exhausting. Like running laps around the house. Not ME. Obviously.
