It's like that game
Do you remember that game that girls (at least the girls I knew) used to play at sleep overs where you'd make a list of boys you would marry and the kinds of homes you could live in and the cars you could drive and the number of kids you could have? Then by choosing a magic number, counting through the list and crossing off whatever you landed on, you would eliminate the choices until only one in each category remained - revealing your future.
I read about another game of sorts over at motherbumper yesterday where you follow a few basic rules and use random selections to make a fake album cover. It didn't reveal anything about my life, but reminded me of the future game because it just as addictive. I found myself clicking on the links over and over just to see what I would find and how I might pair them together. I found myself saying things like "oh! that's a good one" and clicking again to see if there might be anything better on the next click. I may have cheated a bit (in that I didn't just go with the very first one that came up), but had great fun.
So this is how you do it:
1. The first title on this page is the name of your band.
2. The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album. Click the "New Random Quotations" button for more.
3. The third picture on this page will be your album cover. You then take the photo and add your band name and the album title to it, then post your picture. Please don't forget to give credit.
And here's what I came up with:
Fake band: timber (1941 film)
Pretend album title: can never be sure
Original photo by: D. de Castro
Fake band: Franz Mone
Pretend album title: this and plan accordingly.
Original photo by: LeeLeFever
If nothing else, this pretend exercise gave me another reason to use my new favorite font "BLUE HIGHWAY D TYPE". And yes, I do have a favorite font. And yes, I really am that big of a geek.
Anyone else want to play? If so, just add your fake album covers to your own blog (if you have one) or send me your completed album covers and I'll add it here.

For those of us who aren't, say, YOU - how do we "take the photo and add your band name"? you kind of breezed over that part....
My band name is Le Recoux and the album is "the words of another" a GREAT start. Wow, what a photo! Not that you will ever seeit... Infernal photo editing...

Really addictive! I'm with Jenine though, my 'albums' don't look as professional as yours or Kathy's. I sent you my first two on email.
