Merry Christmas, baby

As an Aunt who lives kind of far away, I've been awfully lucky to get frequent baby reports and photos.  Carrie has been sending me emails and pictures and letting me hear him cry on the phone.  Carrie's friend Jodi has been sending me little notes and photos that she takes when she runs next door to see the baby.  My mom was able to stop holding Miles long enough to talk to me or email me, which IS ASKING A LOT.  Grandma Jane uses the method known as "you're my grandbaby and my arms are here your baby head should not sleep elsewhere during daytime hours" - it worked well for my kids and I'm glad that Miles seems to like it too.  He's such a good baby, he really did sleep through the night on his first night home.  HIS FIRST NIGHT HOME.  I love so much that I'm not even jealous, except I did feel like it was a rip because on that exact same night Martin got up and 3:30 AM and stayed up until 6:30 AM.  And he's four.

My baby is two this year, so I'm super happy to be able to share this one long distance.

Merry Christmas, baby.
