Hip update: Marty's surgery went well yesterday.  No complications that we know of, recovery well underway.  Today will be a big day - the start of physical therapy, eating foods that aren't just in liquid form.  He was in pretty good spirits all day, even laughing at some of my jokes.  Except for the comments I made about the long socks he has to wear to prevent blood clots, especially when I kept saying "You look pretty mommy."

Maybe some jokes are best saved for your own mom, I know that she'd think that one was funny.
