Thanksgiving trivia revealed
Based on the HUGE response to our Just a little Thanksgiving trivia (haha), I thought I better post the answers to the questions. You know, so you don't have to keep clicking refresh on this page until I do. Funny AGAIN!
Q1: In what year did the Mayflower Pilgrims land at Plymouth Rock?
A1: 1620. This answer holds special meaning for me because it was written on the cover side of each question card. I sort of wanted to know if anyone would look at the treasure I'd found. They didn't, but I laughed a little inside each time I held it up for them to look at while I read them each question.
Q2: In which state is Plymouth Rock located?
A2: Massachusetts.
Q3: Which U.S. President designated the last Thursday in November as the official U.S. observance of Thanksgiving?
A3: Abraham Lincoln
Q4: What was the reason President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave for moving the official U.S. observance of Thanksgiving to the second-to-the-last Thursday of November?
A4: To extend the Christmas shopping season, making it more profitable for merchants
Q5: What is the name of the Mayflower passenger to whom Jennie is related?
A5: Francis Cooke. Okay, so this one is really hard unless you're related to me. Which is most of the audience of this blog, so really, you should have gotten at least ONE.
Q6: a) In what year did Jennie prepare her first Thanksgiving dinner?
A6a: 1996
b) And, where was her mother?

A little credit. I TOTALLY noticed that the date was on the card in microscopic writing. Which led me to believe you were tricking me or something. Plus I was in my "shy" phase and didn't want to post and admit that I didn't know ANY of the other answers.

Aunt Susan and Jenine please note: you are also related to Francis Cooke. Just in case you need any trivia of your own.
