Just a little Thanksgiving trivia

At our Thanksgiving table we had a mix of our families this year.  Everyone knew each other (with the exception of one new guest), but sometimes it can be a little tough at first to make everyone feel comfortable.  I find in situations like this, there's nothing like a little competition to get things moving.  With that in mind, I challenged our group to a friendly game of Thanksgiving Trivia.  Written by me, of course.  Want to see how you'd fare at our table?  Play along - add your answers to the comments below if you're interested.  Of course, you can use any tools at your disposal to answer questions if you'd like - giving you an advantage over the guests who were at my table.  Or, make stuff up - it's only a game.

I found this card laying on the floor of our family room a few days before Thanksgiving, sometime after Martin discovered Marty's "The Book of Knowledge Flash Cards" tucked away in the game cabinet.

Q1: In what year did the Mayflower Pilgrims land at Plymouth Rock?

Q2: In which state is Plymouth Rock located?

Q3: Which U.S. President designated the last Thursday in November as the official U.S. observance of Thanksgiving?

Q4: What was the reason President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave for moving the official U.S. observance of Thanksgiving to the second-to-the-last Thursday of November?

Q5: What is the name of the Mayflower passenger to whom Jennie is related?

Q6: a) In what year did Jennie prepare her first Thanksgiving dinner?
       b) And, where was her mother?
Bonus: What did Jennie’s date bring as a gift for Pat?

Q7: What does Marty request every year for Thanksgiving dinner?

Q8: According to Adam Sandler, what does he believe the price of turkey should be?
Bonus: Sing the verse of “The Thanksgiving Song” in which the answer is contained.

The score to beat - 6 correct answers, achieved by my momma - the winner of the coveted Silver Wishbone hat.
