The games people play
This weekend the kids and I worked REALLY hard clearing out a flower bed and raking acorns in the yard. It was tough work, and physically we were all exhausted. The kids were very well behaved all weekend, playing in the yard, staying out of traffic, only injuring themselves a few times. But after two days of hard work, they were sick of my slavedriving and were melting in the heat. I filled our backyard pool with water and let them play, while I kicked my feet up and relaxed for a few moments.
They played in the pool for about five minutes before things took a turn for the worse. They started playing a loud game called "No, You're a Moron." If you're not familiar with this game, it's where one person yells "you're a moron" to the second person, and the second person returns with "NO, YOU are a moron." This game continues until someone clocks the other person with the nearest object. At this point, the referee (aka ME) calls for the game completion, and everyone receives a timeout for use of the word "moron", for shouting, and for hitting.
Out to prove that I was wrong and that my children are in fact morons, the kids made up a new game after the timeout was over.

Technical note: I'm trying a new podcast feature here, and in order to do that I had to use iMovie for the first time. So, if you have any trouble playing this, just let me know. I'm not sure that I can help you, since I don't know what I was doing in the first place, but you never know. Kind of makes you wonder where my kids got their brains, doesn't it?

Hi! I'm new to your blog.
That looks like a game that should NEVER, NEVER be unsupervised! It also looks like a game that my kid would try!
