Three Nelsons, two cowboys, one short night

Every Monday night during the summer, local musicians perform a concert in our library square.  It looks like the quintessential small town - bandshell, stage, grassy park with a fountain in the middle, and hundreds of people lined up in their lawn chairs.

I took the kids down to the park to hear the musician "Joe McPherson" without knowing what to expect.  We found two cowboys on the stage, playing guitar and singing old country - Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson.  Like every event we go to these days, the kids were mostly interested in running around and chasing other kids.  After half an hour of saying "no more grass fights" and disturbing the peace of all the people around us, I ushered the kids back to the car.  As we passed the stage, Martin whispered in my ear, "Let's give those cowboys our phone number so they can come over and play."
