I have an idea
"Hey, I have an idea" is something we've been hearing an awful lot around here lately. Whenever those words come out of Martin's mouth, there are two guarantees:
1) It's going to be an odd idea.
2) I'm going to let him do it.
Wear pajama top as pants and pajama pants as a hat? Sounds good to me.
Want to wear a bat costume instead of a jacket when we go out for dinner? Sure, why not.
Want to take a drink out of the pickle jar? Here's a straw.
Dream on son. Dream on.

Only 2 days left to THE BIRTHDAY. If I wasn't more secure in my memories of the past, I would think that you were deprived of birthday celebrations as a child. I know you had your fair share of sleepovers and parties and you will get to relive some of those in the future with your kids.
Just think...33 years ago I was just kicking back in the trailer in Tomahawk Trailer Park having a smoke and a beer, playing Yahtzee and waiting for your arrival.

When Grace was one, she had her sweatshirt hood and sunglasses on in Target and this old woman tssked tssked me to death. I told her Grace just wanted to wear it that way and she told me I had better get her under control, and that the fabric of society was obviously in danger if I would let her wear her glasses and hood INSIDE. I can't even imagine what she would say about you. Probably nothing, because her cardiac arrest would prevent her from saying much. But still.
You inspired me to let Grace wear the silver feather dress up shoes to the vet this morning. She thanks you.

He sounds a lot like Joe, only Joe's "ideas" are usually science experiments or cooking experiments. The two are sometimes hard to distinguish.
Can I also comment on what a balanced meal that is on Martin's plate. WOW! I'm resolving today to make my kids eat more veggies.
