September is for me
I believe that birthdays should last a few weeks, AT A MINIMUM. That's why the entire month of September is for me. Since it's already into September, and there's been no mention of what we should do for my birthday, I brought it up yesterday. Marty suggested that maybe we go on a trip somewhere. This sounds really nice, but then he continued.
"We could go up to the Bearskin Lodge. I could do a little grouse hunting. You could do some birdwatching, bring your recorder and get some footage for This American Life and NPR."
Oh, we both laughed. Marty out of appreciation of his own general wittiness, and me because I know that the only part he was joking about was the recorder. We don't have one, unless that's what I'm getting for my birthday. Let's hope not.

ahhhhh, might be time for us to send some Birthday celebration location/gift ideas to Marty! Good idea to start talking about it early. I've already starting talking about mine next summer. It will be 07-07-07 and I think that should worth extra attention!

Maybe you are getting a shotgun. If not you could use your mother's 410. It'a great fun to watch birds fall out of the sky.
