Happy Father's Day, Part II
Even though I've already stated that I think that I have the best dad there is, I'm pretty sure my kids have a close second.

Marty is a good dad, patient and playful. When he walks in, the kids jump from where they are and make a beeline for the door. Then promptly search his backpack for gum. He lets Martin hang out at his desk, despite the fact that he messes up the order in the pen drawer and disturbs the bags of carefully sorted keys and rubber bands. Around our neighborhood, he's well known as the "dad who mows the lawn with his son and makes him wear safety goggles." He says things like "because I'm your Father" as the explanation to tricky questions. He makes sure that the kids thoroughly scrub in the tub, whereas I mostly let them play with toys while they soak. And when he says "knock it off", the kids usually do.
Every single day I thank God that I have a good partner to help me raise our kids. Happy Father's Day, Marty. I love you.
