I stand corrected

After much discussion and debate, it turns out that one of the memories I reported earlier in the week was false.  Here's a recap of my memory:

"Grandpa Mitchell stepping out into the wind.  Grandpa had a long strand of hair that he carefully wrapped around his head.  When he would go out into the wind, his hair would go from being a neatly combed hairdo into one long, tall piece whipping around in the air."

My dad (and mom and grandma) all agree that this is false.  What we can all agree on, is that Grandpa had very white hair that was carefully combed.  My mom reminded me that Grandpa did have some hair that he combed over to one side.  The reason - to cover a dent inflicted by a horse hoof when he was a child.  Can you imagine?  A horse hoof to the head?

Here is a picture of Grandpa and me.  In this picture, his hair wasn't totally white yet, but you can see that it isn't a wraparound or a full comb over.  Just nice, neat hair.  Or, in the words of my Grandma, "He had beautiful hair."

At any rate, I stand corrected.  Please note: my dad did not make any comments regarding whether or not gophers can actually waterski.
