Mother may I play with danger
We were outside playing tonight, and I had a sudden realization that our lives could very easily become a made-for-TV movie:
1) Danger is always imminent
2) I may have an active imagination
3) Martin is very interested in dangerous or potentially dangerous activities
Here are some examples:

Seconds after this innocent looking picture was taken, the top was ripped off this tulip.

Climbing on a riding lawn mower may not seem so dangerous, but how about the sharp pencil he's holding in his hand? Note: I did remove the key from the lawnmower after this picture was taken, just in case.

What started out as a broom, quickly became a hammer for smashing ants.

Bored with riding the hot wheels like a normal child, it turns out it is only fun to ride if using it like a scooter.
Should I be worried?

When Martin starts going to the neighbors yard and taking the tops of flowers, you'll have a whole new chapter. I remember once when I was little and had done that to a neighbors prized flower that they had been patiently waiting to bloom. Later they came over and confronted me in front of my Mom and I lied. They made me hold my hand up and swear...I did. Obviously they saw me do it. My first sin that I never forgot.
