Mayday, May Day
It's been raining here for the past few days pretty much non-stop. Just yesterday, Lake Nelson opened up in our backyard and ducks stopped by for a swim.

Non-stop rain meant two things this weekend:
1) Marty was able to recruit lots of people to work this weekend, which means that today's "go live" date for their new system is more likely to be a success. He's been working on this for so long - it's a seemingly neverending project. It's been weeks since he has had a full night's sleep here. For the past week or so, he's been sleeping at the office. First on a cot in his office, then he upgraded to a trailer parked out behind the office.
2) The kids didn't get a chance to play outside. This is particularly important to note because my mother-in-law was here on Saturday, and my parents were here on Sunday taking care of the kids while Marty and I worked. It would have been much easier on all of them if the kids had been able to get outside.
I hope that the rain stops and that the system conversion goes well today. If we're unsuccessful on either front, I'm building an ark and floating the kids down to stay with Marty in the temporary housing.
