Rainy days and Sundays
Today is a little gloomy and rainy, normally my favorite kind of day. But, the kids are restless and it would probably do them some good to get outside. The time change has messed around with naptime, and I'm hoping to keep them awake little longer to make the sleep adjustment in just one day. Here's what we've been doing to keep everyone busy:
1. Breakfast
2. Played with my accordions. Martin cried because they were too heavy, said he didn't want to be small anymore.
3. Snack for Sophie (change of clothes).
4. Martin found Marty's trumpet. We (I) decided to put it away until Marty comes home. Martin cried because he wants to play the accordion and trumpet together.
5. Snack for Martin, second snack for Sophie (change of clothes).
6. Watched Toy Story (again). Martin cried because he wanted to be small so he could have a nuk again.
7. I opened up the porch so that we'd have a new place to play. Despite the cool temperature, Martin took off his clothes then built a tower with patio furniture cushions.
8. Lunch (change of clothes for Sophie, clothes back on Martin).
And, it's only noon.
On the tube last night: Capote. It was terrific - Philip Seymour Hoffman was great, and it was written by Dan Futterman (Vincent from Judging Amy, who was a writer on the show turns out to be a writer for real, who knew?)
On the tube tonight: The Sopranos, Big Love

Big Love: Who knew watching a polygamist pop Viagra to live every man's dream could be so entertaining? I suppose giving it the V, L, N, SC rating will also stop any actual polygamists from protesting, since they can't watch it.
We talk about getting a wife all the time, but Phil is looking for Farrah Faucet (in the style of The Substitute Wife - a great movie if you have never seen it) and I am leaning towards Mrs. Doubtfire, of course. Ah, irreconcilable differences.
