Just yesterday, while we were traveling home, Sophie started walking.  She has taken a few tiny steps before, but not much more than that.  By the time this morning rolled around and we could see her feet in action, she was ready to start covering some ground.

Martin looked a little dismayed as my mom and I oohed and aahed over Sophie's big accomplishment.  He looked over at her and said, "Yeah, but she can't talk."
