Hail to the Chief
In honor of President's Day, Martin has been working on several Presidential projects. In a Martha inspired project, Martin and Kris made a log cabin out of some of Martin's favorite snacks. As you can see, Martin's log cabin looks almost exactly like Martha's.

I wonder if Martha was able to eat dinner after she made hers, or if she too was tempted by holding a jar of peanut butter and just ate it in large scoops.

To try to instill a sense of political fairness in our home, I printed out a few pages of Presidents to color from both parties. George W. for Grandpa Marty, Grandpa Pat and Grandma Jane (how could you). Ronald Reagan for Marty (you said you were a Democrat), and Bill Clinton for me (obviously). We placed them in front of Martin and I watched closely to see which one he chose to see if it would give some indication about his future political alignment. He said he didn't want to color. What does that mean? Political indifference? Let's hope not, or I have a lot of work ahead of me. Especially with the lack of Democrats around here.
Update from the political front: Martin chose Bill and said "He's the man". He refused to color George, saying "You do it". Whew, there's a chance.
On the table tonight: Movie theater popcorn, it's date night!

Did you draw a clown face on Bill so it would be more fun to color?
