I would have been a terrible pioneer woman

It has been so cold here for the past few days.  Yesterday, it warmed up to 0.  Right now, it's -9 actual temp, -28 windchill.  We haven't left the house since Thursday and even then it was only for a few minutes.  Times like these only reinforce my belief that I would have been a terrible pioneer woman.  Although, if I could have been one of Half-Pint's other, lesser known sisters... I'm sure things would have been different.

To avoid the cold and to keep us busy, we set up a tent (thanks Carrie & Ryan) in the house.  That kept us busy for a long time - going in and out, knocking it over, moving it to different rooms, bringing stuff into it and taking it back out.

We also did a little dancing.  So far, it seems like Sophie's favorite songs are "I Like to Move It" and "Can't Touch This".  I know, it's questionable parenting to introduce her to M.C. Hammer so early.  Please Hammer, don't hurt 'em.  They're young and impressionable.

On the table tonight:  Pork Loin with Brandy & Dried Cherries
